Deuteronomy 6:4-9 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

Ephesians 6:1-4 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Proverbs 29:15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

Galatians 4:1-2 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

The ever-increasing endeavor to portray children as property of the state was subtly described in a MSNBC promotional video which featured host Melissa Harris-Perry opposing the “private notion of children” .. “your kid is yours and totally your responsibility” and that “kids belong to their parents or their families”

NOTICE HOW SHE SAYS “WE NEED TO BREAK THROUGH THE IDEA THAT KIDS BELONG TO THE PARENTS OR .. THEIR FAMILIES”  Instead she is in favor of a “collective notion” that “kids belong to whole communities.”

This reminds us of Hilary Clinton’s “It Takes a Village” agenda that would move America closer to a state-sponsored parenting. Thus the long term goal is to indoctrinate children with whatever the state dictates to be suitable for it own ends.

We reckon David Cloud said it well when he wrote: “The Bible says parents are responsible for their children’s education. God gives children to parents, not to the state. Christian parents should not turn their children over to a godless public education system to be trained by unregenerate, humanistic-minded educators who do not believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God. Common sense would tell parents simply to look at the fruit of various educational options and to choose that which produces the best fruit. The public schools of America are producing wretched fruit, not only violence, but rampant immorality, atheism, agnosticism, relativism, evolution, unscriptural tolerance for evil, materialism, new age thought, socialism, etc. Many of the evils that plague American society at the beginning of the 21st century can be traced to the godless public school system. On the other hand, home schooling and Christian schools are not producing mass murderers and moral reprobates. Whereas out-of-wedlock pregnancies in the public school system are epidemic, they are extremely rare among those who are educated in home and Christian schools. This is not to say that all Christian schools and home schools are godly and wholesome. They are not. Again, look at the fruit. If a Christian school produces worldly young people who have worldly values and worldly ambitions it is little better than the public school system.” (Emphasis added)

The Seduction of Youth

[We post from a variety of sources, and this obviously does not imply an endorsement of them, nor thereby are we recommending the organization(s) or them that might produce them. In these perilous times, we find it hard to find those for whom we would fully agree.  (1 Th 5:21; Php 1:9-11)]

You notice, however that even though the State “wants” the children, yet how quickly they are passed back to the parents when there’s any trouble! “They’re your kids. You sort it out” then becomes the mantra.
