Carter Conlon does not warn of the false prophet David Wilkerson

The Author of “The Cross and the Switchblade” David Wilkerson is a false prophet.

David Wilkerson in his prophecy called “The Vision,”  in the early 1970’s, he predicted that the charismatics would be driven out of the Roman Catholic Church.

In 2009 David Wilkerson said:

“An earth-shattering calamity is about to happen. It is going to be so frightening, we are all going to tremble–even the godliest among us. For ten years I have been warning about a thousand fires coming to New York City. It will engulf the whole megaplex, including areas of New Jersey and Connecticut. Major cities all across America will experience riots and blazing fires–such as we saw in Watts, Los Angeles, years ago. There will be riots and fires in cities worldwide. There will be looting–including Times Square, New York City” (“What You Need to Know,” Christianity Today, March 16, 2009)

“For 1993, [David Wilkerson] prophesied that there would be 1,000 fires in New York City from race riots. For 1999, he prophesied that there would be no more gospel television networks, that they would all be in bankruptcy and ruin. For 2000, he prophesied a dire financial crash. None of this happened.” (David Cloud)

Deuteronomy 18:22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

Jeremiah 14:14 Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

Jeremiah 23:25-26 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;

Jeremiah 23:31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.

Wilkerson was founding pastor of Times Square Church in New York City and was killed in a car crash in Texas on April 27, 2011. The church is now led by Pastor Carter Conlon and there is no words of warning about Wilkerson being a false prophet.

Carter Conlon is very ecumenical as he calls for many different denominations to “work together”:

“It is time to gather with one heart and one prayer: Holy Spirit, come! Come to the Baptists, the Methodists, the Lutherans, the Catholic charismatics, the Presbyterians, the Salvation Army—all the churches in our cities! Give us the strength to pray and to work together, recognizing that there are no big or small people in the kingdom of God—we are all equally important. Help us to realize that nobody can do this alone; we need the whole body of Jesus Christ. Yes, we are allowed our distinctives, our differences, in worship style, for those things are inconsequential.” (MERCY)

 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
